Rheoencephalogram and UPP characteristics

Numerous publications have shown a direct relationship between the intensity of blood flow and energy metabolism (Chapter 1). In these works, it is primarily about the local cerebral blood flow. However, it is reasonable to expect a correlation between the characteristics of rheoencephalogram (REG), describing patterns of cerebral blood flow, and SCP.

We examined 27 healthy men aged from 22 to 51 years. The subjects recorded SCP and REG (together with VM Novoselov). To exclude cerebral pathology, all subjects underwent neuropsychiatric and electroencephalographic examination. The REG study was carried out using the RPG2-02 instrument, which operates according to the tetrapolar scheme in two standard leads – the frontal-mastoid and the mastooccipital (REG FM and REG MO). At the same time, registration was carried out from the symmetric regions of the right and left hemispheres, and the REG derivative was also recorded. The ECG was recorded in the first standard lead. Graphic recording was carried out on a polygraph of the Japanese company “Nihon Kohden”. A standard analysis of the amplitude-time characteristics of the REG was carried out (LR Zenkov, MA Ronkin, 1991).

To determine the relationship between cerebral circulation parameters and the characteristics of SCP, a correlation analysis was performed. In the correlation matrix containing the correlation coefficients between the set of characteristics of the SCP and the REG, the coefficients that were significantly different from zero ( p <0.05) were determined , which were then calculated and analyzed . B presents the most significant fragment of correlation matrices (without correlation coefficients between the characteristics of the REG and most of the bipolar SCP differences).

It can be seen that there are numerous correlation relationships between the SCP and REG parameters in the mastooccipital lead . Separate correlation coefficients indicate the presence of a medium or low correlation dependence.
