Comparison of the SCP differences in the central regions, registered bipolarly and obtained by subtracting the SCP in the same regions with unipolar lead, showed the identity of the resulting SCP values. Taking into account the fact that the results were obtained for different groups of subjects, they testify to the equivalence of monopolar and bipolar methods for the assignment of SCP when analyzing the interhemispheric potential difference.
Thus, in adult right-handers, a stable potential difference is found between the following symmetric areas: frontal, central, occipital, and temporal. Higher SCP indicates the predominance of energy metabolism in the dominant hemisphere. In the same age group (subjects of young and mature ages), right-handed people with a left leader do not have statistically significant differences between symmetrical areas of the head.
Inter-hemispheric potential difference varies with age and gender, as well as the constitutional characteristics of the FMA. Currently, the most complete information is available on the difference of the SCP for temporal leads in right-handers.
