Relevance of the topic. Designing of newly constructed and reconstructed hospital buildings is carried out in our country in accordance with building codes and rules (Construction Norms and Regulations), sanitary rules and norms (SanPiN). These documents contain basic hygiene requirements that ensure the creation of favorable conditions for the stay and treatment of patients, as well as for staff work. Improving hospital construction is not possible without participation in the examination of projects by medical workers. In this regard, doctors and chief nurses of hospitals should have a clear idea of the requirements for placement, external and internal layout of hospitals, since only their rigorous implementation determines the timely provision of medical care, helps to create a medical and protective regimen and prevention of internal hospital infections.
